Unit studies, or integrated learning, underscore the inter-related dimension of life and supports comprehension and retention of new information. Research shows them to be a much better way to learn. All subjects (excepting math perhaps) are taught in relation to a central topic, and in this way learning reflects the cohesiveness of life.
