Life is not comprised of isolated facts, but rather interconnected spheres of influence.

This causes me to wonder over the applicability of teaching subjects which are disconnected from each other. Unit studies, or integrated learning, are a much better way to learn. All subjects (excepting math perhaps) are taught in relation to a central topic, and in this way learning reflects the cohesiveness of life.
